1 জানুয়ারি 2026-এ সিরিয়া পাউন্ড থেকে দুটি শূন্য বাদ দেয়: 100 পুরোনো = 1 নতুন।
নতুন নোটগুলো শুধু কাগজের, এতে উদ্ভিদ ও ফসলের ছবি আছে।
পুরোনো নোট 31 জুলাই 2026-এ বৈধ মুদ্রা হিসেবে বাতিল হয়েছে। এগুলো নেবেন না বা সঙ্গে আনবেন না।
দাম এখনও পুরোনো পাউন্ডে বলা হতে পারে। কোনো দাম 100 গুণ বেশি মনে হলে জিজ্ঞেস করুন পুরোনো না নতুন (قديم / جديد)।

কার্ড কদাচিৎ চলে, তাই সব টাকা নগদে আনুন। আবার নিয়ে যেতে চাইলে 5,000 মার্কিন ডলার বা তার বেশি ঘোষণা করুন।
অতিরিক্ত বা ঘোষণা না করা নগদ বাজেয়াপ্ত হতে পারে। পাউন্ডের সীমা শুধু অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে।
সিরীয়দের জন্য বাধ্যতামূলক বিনিময়ের নিয়ম বিদেশিদের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য ছিল না।

26 আগস্ট 2026 থেকে অংশগ্রহণকারী অল্প কিছু বিক্রেতা আন্তর্জাতিক Mastercard ক্রেডিট কার্ড নেয়; Visa পরীক্ষা চালিয়েছে।
গ্রহণযোগ্যতা সীমিত এবং মূলত উচ্চমানের জায়গায়। কিছু বিদেশি ব্যাংক এখনও সিরিয়ার লেনদেন আটকাতে পারে। যথেষ্ট নগদ রাখুন।
সিরিয়ায় ইস্যু করা একটি Mastercard প্রথমবার বিদেশে ব্যবহৃত হয় 30 সেপ্টেম্বর 2026-এ।

- New note denominations: sources disagree. Wikipedia and Saiga Tours list 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 500; bne IntelliNews (29 Dec 2025) lists 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500. We could not open a Central Bank page listing the notes.
- Coins: no source confirmed whether any coins (old or new) are in use after the redenomination.
- Timing of the second-phase notes (1,000, 5 and 1 pounds): announced according to Wikipedia, but no date found.
- cb.gov.sy: when opened on 2026-10-31 the exchange-rate pages showed a banner saying the site is a trial/demo version and not the official government site, even though the domain is cb.gov.sy. The figures (USD 122) match the CBS bulletin no. 193 reported by Banker News on 2026-10-15. Recheck before publication. Our curl requests to cb.gov.sy were blocked, so we could not see the raw page.
- No TRY rate on the CBS page of 2026-10-29; the latest TRY rates we found are from 2026-07-27 (Al-Ain).
- Which rate licensed exchange offices actually give foreigners (official vs market) was not verified.
- Lebanese pound (LBP): no source on whether it is accepted or exchanged in Syria.
- ATMs: no official list of banks/ATMs, withdrawal limits, fees or reliability. BootsnAll (Mar 2026) claims ATMs accept international cards; this contradicts the German Federal Foreign Office (30 Oct 2026) and other sources.
- Foreign cards: no official list of merchants that accept international cards. It is unclear whether debit cards, or Visa cards in general, work outside the pilots. No Visa or Mastercard press release was opened directly; news coverage only.
- Mobile wallets: current status of Syriatel Cash and of any wallet linked to the former MTN Syria network for visitors was not verified, nor whether a foreign passport or tourist SIM can open a wallet.
- The $100 mandatory exchange for Syrian citizens at the border: Enab Baladi reported suspensions and extensions (search titles only, pages could not be opened), and an Enab Baladi English related headline mentions 'no exemption'. Current status unknown.
- Separate tariffs for foreigners and Syrians at museums and sites: not found. The 2026 fee list comes from a tour operator (Syrian Guides) citing DGAM, not from a DGAM or Ministry of Culture page. Whether Palmyra and Apamea now charge a fee is unknown.
- Damascus National Museum closure: seen only as a Syrian Guides homepage headline in search results, undated; not verified.
- Taxi meter tariffs, official intercity bus fares (e.g. Damascus–Aleppo), and SIM/data prices in new pounds: not found. The web search budget ran out before these could be researched. The telecom chapter may cover SIM prices.
- Hotel prices by city outside Damascus: only qualitative ('slightly cheaper'). No Ministry of Tourism hotel price list for 2026 could be opened (an Enab Baladi report on a ministry price list for hotels below 5 stars could not be loaded and its date is unknown).
